Applications for assistance are taken October through early December. Applicants must be Lapeer County residents. People can apply three ways: in person, online, or by mail. See below to learn more.

You can apply online by filling out our form. Click on the button below.
To apply you must show a driver’s license or ID, birth certificate or social security cards for each child, and proof of all household income for the past 30 days. You will need to upload a photo of each item to the online application form.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST INCLUDE A COPY OF THEIR DRIVER’S LICENSE OR PHOTO ID, BIRTH CERTIFICATES OR SOCIAL SECURITY CARDS FOR EACH CHILD,
AND PROOF OF ALL HOUSEHOLD INCOME FOR THE PAST 30 DAYS
OR A CURRENT DHS LETTER VERIFYING AN ACTIVE CASE FILE.
